Our rustic wooden hearts are made from reclaimed wooden pallets. Some of these pallets may have travelled the world, gaining age and colour. Some pallets may be fairly new to travel and only moved a short distance, either way, they have been rescued and given a new purpose.
We use a mix of pallet wood to make our hearts which is why you will see a difference in colours. We like this change in colours and hope you do too. Every heart is sanded and finished with a clear wax mix. This wax protects the wood and also enhances the colours. We only wax the front and sides of the item.
Choosing reclaimed materials that has been upcycled into a new object means you are doing your bit to be planet friendly. We take unwanted, raw materials and give them a new life. This does mean that very rarely, nails or staples slip passed our metal detector and the occasional splinter maybe found after the sanding process. This is the nature of the materials we have chosen to use.
